Mrs. Ann Pang
Teacher Assistant
Ann was born in Taiwan and emigrated to Arlington, TX when she was four years old. As a young girl, Ann would sit at the dining table and listen to her mom retell traditional Chinese stories, folklores and sayings. She would try to memorize them so she wouldn’t forget them. Ann loved hearing stories of her mom’s faraway life in Taiwan. In a way, it led her to become interested in different cultures and the notion that cultures can shape people uniquely and individually. Today, when Ann meets someone, she wonders, “what stories have shaped you?”
Ann began attending First Baptist Church in Arlington where she first learned about Jesus. Later, she received her BBA in Accounting and her BA in English from The University of Texas at Austin. Ann holds an MBA from Yale University and currently works part-time for a Christian non-profit organization called Ascending Leaders. Ann’s previous experiences include being a finance manager at ExpressJet Airlines budgeting and forecasting for the pilot and flight attendant groups.
Ann and her husband, Kin, have been married for 15 years, but they have known each other since they were eight years old! Her three children keep her busy, but she is grateful that God has entrusted them to her to train and raise up in the Lord. Her family attends Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Sugar Land. In her spare time, Ann enjoys gardening and watching YouTube videos about successful gardening methods.
