Mrs. Alejandra Brandicourt
Instructor of Mathematics
Mrs. Brandicourt is a Texas licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and has over six years experience in her field. Her favorite project has been the UHD STEM building, which includes post-tensioned 9 inch slabs that appear to be floating in midair.
Mrs. Brandicourt earned her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structures from Texas A&M University. She holds numerous awards, including participation in an international Research Experience for Undegraduate (REU) with KAIST in South Korea for Smart Structures.
She has experience mentoring undergraduates and has guest lectured during college for senior-level courses. For two years, she also mentored high school students through the ACE program (Architect-Civil-Engineering). She loves working with young children too; in 2021 she initiated her parish’s first summer camp for children 3-10 years old.
Thanks be to God who has shed much light on her life to discern and choose to homeschool her three young daughters alongside her husband (and their bunny, Fifi). Her family are parishioners at Notre Dame Catholic Church, continuously growing in faith through the communities of the Neocatechumenal Way. When she is not chasing her kids around, you may find her playing the violin, running, sewing, or reading.
